All medical evaluations are completed, and you’re given clear pre-operative instructions.
- Anesthesia: Depending on your needs and the complexity of the procedure, our rhinoplasty surgeon will recommend either intravenous sedation or general anesthesia for your comfort.
- Surgical Incision: The surgery can be performed using a closed technique (incisions inside the nostrils, no external scars) or an open technique (a small incision across the columella—the strip of skin between the nostrils). The nasal skin is carefully lifted to access the underlying structure.
- Nose Reshaping:
- If reducing size, bone and cartilage may be sculpted or removed.
- If volume or structure increases, cartilage grafts may be added—typically from the nasal septum or occasionally from the ear or rib.
- Correction of a Deviated Septum: If breathing is an issue, the septum can be straightened, and internal nasal structures can be adjusted to improve airflow.
- Closing the Incision: Once reshaping is complete, the skin is gently redraped and the incision is closed with fine sutures to ensure minimal scarring and refined results.
Swelling and bruising are normal in the first few days. You’ll receive detailed aftercare instructions and constant support from our team.
